Attention all Server Complete customers:
We have just migrated to an all new billing system, ClientExec. After numerous problems with WHMCS not being able to handle our volume, we made the decision to move to a more stable billing platform. Some of the problems that we were encountering with WHMCS includes, but is not limited to, non-generating invoices, applying credits to client’s accounts, and not accepting new orders.
The migration to the new billing system took quite a bit of work and a lot of trial and error. We tried most of the systems that are available, and finally decided ClientExec was a perfect solution.
You should not have any problems logging in with your WHMCS login details, but if for some reason you do, please send an email to sales@servercomplete.com from the email address on file.
We ask that everyone please login at their convenience to inspect their personal details to make sure everything is correct.
If you notice any problems with your billing or invoicing, please bring it to our attention as soon as possible.
We are still remaining with Kayako eSupport for our helpdesk, so your existing tickets will remain available for future reference. Your Kayako login details would be the same as your ClientExec details.
If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Server Complete Administration
Attention all Server Complete VPS clients:
We have made a couple of improvements over the past couple of days that everyone should be aware of.
The HyperVM URL
First on our agenda is the new HyperVM URL, which will make it easier on everyone to access their HyperVM control panel.
You may now access HyperVM by using the following links:
Normal: http://cp.nodesdirect.com
Secure: https://cp.nodesdirect.com
We have installed a proper SSL certificate on the secure URL, however, it may still error in Firefox 3. This is a new phishing protection system built into Firefox 3, and it rejects many of the most common SSL certificate types. If you receive an alert of an invalid certificate, please permanently accept the error.
All New Hosted DNS Services
We have decided to take advantage of a rather unknown feature of HyperVM and that is the DNS cluster hosting services. If for some reason you would prefer to not run your own nameservers on your VPS, you are more than welcome to take advantage of this feature.
Upon logging into your HyperVM control panel, under the “Help” section you will see a new button labled “DNS”. Upon opening the new DNS interface you will be able to setup and manage DNS zones that are hosted on our nameservers. This will in no way affect the DNS configurations inside of individual VPSs. This is only a value added service that we are offering to those of you who would prefer to not run your own nameservers or would like the redundancy that our DNS cluster has to offer.
If you plan to use our DNS services, you will need to login to HyperVM and create the DNS zone for the domain. Once the DNS zone has been created, you will need to update the nameservers at your domain registrar to point to the following:
vdns1.nodesdirect.com [Dallas, TX]
vdns2.nodesdirect.com [London, UK]
We are running a fully redundant DNS cluster with nameservers in two separate locations. This will help ensure that your domains will still resolve if one DNS server is unresponsive.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to open a ticket from your client area and we would be more than happy to address your concerns.
We would like to thank everyone for their continued business and support.
Warm regards,
The Server Complete Team

Attention all Server Complete customers:
We have added an offsite network / hardware status system to better communicate downtimes and maintenance with our valued customers.
If you are experiencing network and/or server problems, please check the status system before submitting a ticket, this will greatly reduce the ticket volume and better help focus our technicians on the task at hand.
To access our new offsite status system, please visit the following URL: http://status.servercomplete.net
This system and our client areas are both on a separate network than any of our clients. We like to be as redundant as possible, so in the event of an emergency, we may still be reached. Also, if you notice our main website is offline, please do not submit a ticket via email. By using email to submit a ticket, our main server must be online to receive the ticket. We advise that you always login to your client area using our secure client portal to get in contact with us.
Best regards,

As most of you know, The Planet had a massive outage that affected 9,000 servers in the old eV1Servers / RackShack location. This is the second time that this situation has occurred at DC1 of The Planet.
Currently The Planet wholly owns 5 or 6 facilities in the Houston area and only DC1 was affected by this outage.
The explosion / fire erupted on Saturday evening and knocked out three internal walls around the electrical equipment room. The datacenter was evacuated and emergency personnel called to the scene. Once the building and all equipment was inspected by The Planet as well as the respective manufacturers, they were able to begin work on restoring power to Phase 2 of the facility where they have successfully brought many clients back online.
As of right now, I believe they have restored power to the lower level as well and have began the task of rebooting all of the servers.
Each and every piece of equipment had been abruptly powered off by the malfunction and caused many servers to require FSCK’s to be run. Each and every machine was checked over once powered back on to ensure everything is in working order.
Currently the network is still quite shaky as it levels back out and bugs in the networking gear are settled. Not to mention the large number of people that are going to be taking and downloading complete server backups and checking over everything to make sure all is well.
This event will most likely cause severe network degradation over the next week or two as everything is leveled out and recovers from the nearly 72 hours of no power.
Best of luck to all of you who have servers at The Planet’s DC1
I personally do not have any servers there, but I have done quite a lot of research into the situation.
Luckily no servers were damaged in this incident, they only suffered massive downtime.

After numerous comments from people in regards to our VPS plan structure, I finally bit the bullet and did a complete makeover of them!
All VPS plans include more disk space, RAM, premium bandwidth, and are cheaper! That’s right folks, better plans for less money! Now, you may be asking yourself if I have lost my mind or something. The answer is no, well maybe a little :-p I haven’t quite figured that one out yet! I have been feeling extra generous lately.
