Now Accepting Credit Cards

Howdy all!

It is with great pleasure that I announce the latest improvement here at SC… WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING CREDIT CARDS!

For quite a while people have requested the addition of direct credit card processing to be built within Mission Control rather than having to process payments through PayPal and AlertPay. We have listened and have been working for the past couple of weeks on properly building this functionality into Mission Control to properly integrate with our merchant processor.

We currently accept the following card types:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Discover

American Express may come in the future, but it is not presently supported.

If your account is already active and contains active services, you can adjust your payment preferences and add a credit card to your account by performing the following:

  • Login to Mission Control at https://servercomplete.net/manage/
  • Choose ‘Preferences’ from the ‘Billing’ menu
  • Select ‘Credit Card’ from the Payment Gateway dropdown list
  • Input credit card number and billing information in the fields at the bottom of the page

Once you do this, your future service renewal and upgrade invoices will automatically be paid. Service renewal invoices generate 10 (ten) days before the renewal date. Payment is processed 5 (five) days after the invoice is generated.  Upgrade orders placed using the Upgrades Request System will automatically be paid for if a credit card is on file.

Any existing invoices will not automatically pay. You will need to view the invoice and choose the proper payment gateway from the dropdown and click the Pay Now button.

Our credit card implementation is extremely secure in that we do not store the actual credit card data on our servers. Our merchant processor holds the responsibility of storing the credit card details in their secure “vault” that fully meets the PCI standards. Our servers only store a secure random hash for each client and this is how we identify your card. We never see anything other than the last four digits of the card number.

Just because we do not store actual card data does not mean that we are not taking security seriously! Our cluster of internal servers have been certified by McAfee as being PCI compliant. We do have rather strict security policies in place and our staff only have access to what is strictly required for them to perform their day-to-day jobs.

Thank you to everyone who requested that we add credit card processing to our platform!

Thank you for your continued business and feel free to open a ticket with Billing if you experience any trouble paying by Credit Card.

Introducing Nova — [ Part 1 ]

Howdy all!

I just wanted to take a moment and write a blog post about the latest development here at SC… Nova!

Nova is our state-of-the-art, proprietary, VPS management suite that we have been developing for several months now. Development is still under way and we are working feverishly to finish up as soon as possible.

Nova is scripted entirely by the staff here at SC and is built to fit our ever growing needs and also the desires that customers have expressed.

It has been a bumpy road since we migrated from HyperVM… VDSManager proved to be very underpowered and not user friendly. VSXPathway showed great potential, but it did not fully meet the needs and desires of ourselves and our customers. To remedy this situation once and for all, we took on the grueling project of developing a custom system in house.

Nova is extremely powerful and is built on top of a custom C++ job queue.

We have an extremely unique approach we are taking with the reseller functionality of the panel… Rather than directing your clients to our website to manage their VPS, you will have your very own secure and customizable “remote frontend” that you can host on your own server under your own domain or we will even host it for you under your own subdomain. This functionality is a major feature that we are in the process of implementing and we believe everyone will thoroughly enjoy it when finished.

Nova will seamlessly replace the existing VSXPathway (OpenVZ) and VirtPanel (Xen) control panels within the coming weeks.

I don’t want to give everything away about Nova… You’ve got to have some sort of surprise to look forward to :)

So for now, thanks for reading, and take care!
